Pia Guanio and Steve Mago Wedding Details
Barely 5 months after their engagement on May 7, Pia Guanio confirmed on her live phone-patch interview last Sunday in Showbiz Central, that she and her businessman-boyfriend Steve Mago have already sealed their relationship on October 1 in the violin-sound-filled garden of Mago's residence in Ayala, Alabang.
Pia, however, clarified that they have yet to tie the knot but only had their relationship blessed.
"It wasn’t really a wedding per se. It was more of having our relationship blessed. You see, Steve and I are Christian. We are both members of Victory Christian Fellowship. We are trying to live an honorable Christian life — you know, not just attending regular services but to live it. We wanted our relationship to be blessed by God," Pia explained.
"But though in every way it's a Christian blessing, it is a wedding by layman's term, and legally speaking, it is also a civil wedding because, of course, nagkapirmahan na ng kontrata." she later on admitted.
The 5:30 p.m. intimate "Christian blessing" ceremony was officiated by Pastor Paolo Punzalan and witnessed by less than 50 family members and closest friends of Pia and Steve.
Pia wore a simple, short beige dress designed by Jerome Salaya Ang and Steve was in a suit.
“I was crying, everybody was crying. It was so solemn and so intimate that everybody felt the presence of God.” is how Pia described the ceremony.
And no, there wasn’t any honeymoon...at least for now. They also are not living-in together after the ceremony. A sleepover is not also happening according to the couple.
Pia also revealed that a bigger wedding might happen in Europe by next year.
