Fast and Furious Scandal: Obama Administration May Face Subpoena for Fast and Furious Gun Scandal

Fast and Furious Scandal, otherwise known as the US government gun-trafficking operation, may be attributed to Attorney General Eric Holder.

A key House investigator will send subpoenas to the Obama administration in an effort to determine if the Attorney General misled the Congress about the “Fast and Furious” operation.

The subpoena will specifically demand information about the investigation into the shooting death of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, as well as, possibly, correspondence between Justice Department officials and the White House, and information shared by Mexican Justice officials.

House oversight committee chairman Darrell Issa suggested on “Fox News Sunday” that Attorney General Eric Holder knew about the gun trafficking operation known as “Fast and Furious” earlier than he has acknowledged.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in 2009 allowed intermediaries for drug cartels to buy thousands of weapons from Arizona gun shops and lost track of about 1,400 of the 2,000 of those guns. Some of those weapons have been recovered at crime scenes in Mexico.
