Smart Gilas Pilipinas failed to win the only game that could make them bring home a medal in the ongoing second round of 2011 FIBA Asia championship in Wuhan, China.
Team Philippines lost to team South Korea, 70-68, in the bronze medal match this afternoon, September 25.
Apart from the medal, a third-place finish will give the winning team a slot in the qualifying tournament for the 2012 London Olympics.
