Weather Forecast - PAGASA Tropical Storm Sendong December 16
At 11:00 a.m. today, tropical depression "SENDONG" has slightly intensified as it moves toward Davao Oriental.
Tropical Depression Sendong is estimated based on satellite and surface data at 180 km East Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (7.5°N, 127.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness up to 90 kph and is moving West at 26 kph.

Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under Public Storm Warning Signals are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 - 25 mm per hour (heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
Mining operators and small scale miners are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides and take necessary precautionary measures.
Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea.
