Asian TV Award-Winning ‘Bottomline’ Episode Featuring Maguindanao Gov. Toto Mangudadatu Reruns this Saturday
Rediscover the ‘international appeal’ of the Mangudadatu episode that made “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda” the ‘Best Talk Show for 2011′ in the recent 16th Asian TV Awards.
According to ‘Asia’s King of Talk’ Boy Abunda, the guesting of Maguindanao Gov. Toto Mangudadatu was one of the most riveting episodes he has done with “Bottomline.” He recounted, “The interview was done during the height of the Maguindanao massacre and I remember being so passionate about the issue. I was ready to listen to his story.”
Abunda added, “It wasn’t easy for me to ask him how he felt about the death of 58 people because of his filing of candidacy. The interview was so personal that the viewers surely felt what the governor was going through—the sadness, the anger.”
Don’t miss the episode that bested top Asian programs, including “Talk Asia” of CNN Hong Kong and “The Euthanasia Debate” of New Delhi Television in India.
With “bottomliners” Xiao Chua, Mike Lopez, Dr. Denis Ngo, Nini Santos-Borja, Caloy Conde, and daughter of a massacre victim, Reynafe Momay-Castillo, catch Asian TV Awards’ Best Talk Show for 2011, “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda,” this Christmas eve at 11:30pm, after “Banana Split” on ABS-CBN.
