Kim Jong Il is Dead
Kim Jong Il, North Korea's mercurial and enigmatic leader, has died on December 17 as announced by the state television from the North Korean capital, Pyongyang on Monday. He was 69.
Kim is reportedly died of exhaustion brought on by a sudden illness while on a domestic train trip, the official Korean Central News Agency said.
Kim, reputed to have had a taste for cigars, cognac and gourmet cuisine, was believed to have had diabetes and heart disease and suffered from stroke in 2008 and may have also contracted pancreatic cancer.
