Action superstar Robin Padilla, Prince of Comedy Vhong Navarro, Pokwang and Angel Locsin are now busy urging Filipinos to help the victims of Typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro and its neighbor cities.
Angel even flew to Cagayan de Oro to personally distribute the gifts that she gathered to the typhoon victims, especially those who lost their loved ones. She also tweeted online to appeal for support.
"We are not here just to show that we are 'giving.' We want to urge our kababayans to share their blessings especially now that its Christmas time," Angel said.
Robin feels the same way for the victims in Mindanao. "The people in Mindanao are really close to my heart, that's why I am saddened by the tragedy. Our help to the victims can definitely make them smile," he said.
Despite being busy with charity works, the cast of "Toda Max" will continue to spread happiness this Christmas season. The program also remains to be the country's no.1 sitcom.
Data from Kantar Media show that "Toda Max" garnered 24.1% national TV rating last Saturday, December 17, against the 17.6% by a horror comedy series and 7.6% by another comedy program in competing TV networks.
Meanwhile, this Christmas Eve, December 24, on "Toda Max," Tol (Robin) gets upset when he sees his children Sandy (Aaliyah Benisano) and Ronron (Izzy Canillo) watching TV at their neighbor's house because they don't have a TV set. So, he decides to buy them a second hand TV set as a Christmas gift, via pawning to Bruno his watch given by his wife. What if the watch was lost? Will his cousin Justin (Vhong) and Isabel (Angel) be able to help?
