Melanie Amaro bested Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik and emerged as the X Factor Season 1 Grand Winner taking home the $5 million X Factor recording contract with Sony Music and a Pepsi commercial.

The 19-year-old Melanie from British Virgin Islands says after her declaration as the singing competition's grand winner, “Thank you so much! I don’t know what to say. Thank you. God is good.”
