Sendong Victims Buried in Mass Grave
Using coffins and body bags, dozens of unidentified Sendong casualties were buried in a mass grave in Iligan City yesterday afternoon despite requests of some families not to bury the remains yet so that forensic experts can perform DNA tests to ensure their identities.
Meanwhile, President Noynoy Aquino extended his appreciation to the military for helping victims of Sendong in the Visayas and Mindanao and for selflessly canceling its AFP Ball so that they could contribute the money instead to their fellow countrymen in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan.
We, too, can make our share by helping victims of typhoon Sendong (international name: Washi) through the following ways:
