It all started with a plain twitt message. Now, De La Salle University basketball player-model Simon Atkins’ dreams of personally meeting the Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu is close to reality.
On February 7, Simon (@7SimonAtkins) posted the name of Kim on her twitter account, an insinuation that he wanted to meet her.
Following that message were trail of twitts between him and former PBB housemate Josef Elizalde (@josefelizalde) who is also close to the young actress. Simon, as reported, was asking Josef to help him meet Kim.
Those who are following Simon on twitter, will surely know how serious and sincere he is in his intention of meeting Kim. He, at once, even mentioned that his action is not 'showbiz' but a guy's way to meet the girl who captures his attention.
When asked if he asked Kim out on Valentine's day just like what Phil Younghusband did to Angel Locsin, Simon said he just wanted to meet first Kim and no plans yet of asking her out.
But yesterday, a day after the Valentine, Simon posted this message, telling everyone that he doesn't have a date and indirectly asking Kim out.
In last night's SNN, Bianca Gonzales reported that the torpe UAAP cager finally talked with Kim through the young actress' make-up artist who initiated the conversation.
In an interview, Kim confirmed the news that she spoke with Simon over the phone.
Kim also admitted that she got curious after it was reported that the Simon wanted to meet her.
To satisfy her curiousity, she confessed that she searched the cager on the internet.
"Simon Atkins, actually hindi ko siya kilala, naririnig ko lang, hindi ko pa siya nakikilala pero nag-usap na kami. Kasi ‘yong isang friend niya pinakausap sa akin," Chiu said.
"Sabi ko, ‘Bakit ko siya kakauusapin?’ Gusto daw akong makausap," she added.
If ever Simon ask her out, would she agree to go out on a date with him? "Hindi ko pa alam, depende, depende."
Right after that phone conversation with Kim, Simon again posted on his twitter how the call made his day. As Bianca described it "Nanginginig pa din daw sya sa sobrang saya!"
