'Ina Kapatid Anak' Beats the Pilot Episode of 'Pahiram ng Sandali!'

 

ABS-CBN’s top caliber family drama series, “Ina Kapatid Anak” topbilled by Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Enchong Dee and Maja Salvador trounced its newest rival program in GMA by almost 16 points.

Based on the data from Kantar Media on Monday (November 26), “Ina Kapatid Anak” garnered 32.9% national TV ratings, while the pilot episode of its latest competition "Pahiram ng Sandali” only got 17.5%. The Kapamilya series also ruled its timeslot last Friday (November 23) with 31.9% national TV ratings, or almost 14 points higher than the final episode of "Coffee Prince: Pinoy Version" which only got 18.2%.

Meanwhile, the plot of “Ina Kapatid Anak” continues to thicken now that Julio (Ariel Rivera) already found Teresa (Cherry Pie Picache). Will this be the start of more heated confrontations between their families? Will Teresa be forced to reveal Celyn’s (Kim) real identity or will she keep on hiding it?

Kim Chiu Versus Kris Bernal: Who Looks More Male?!

 Kim Chiu and Kris Bernal, two of the Primetime Princesses of the Kapamilya and Kapuso networks were always been compared and pitted. Since when their respective careers started in showbiz, they were treated as rivals since both of them were products of reality shows and lead in their own TV series. They were also part of a rival loveteams before. Remember Kimerald (Kim-Gerald) versus AlKris (Aljur-Kris) before?! 

Now Kim and Kris were once more compared as both of them already played male roles in a TV series. Last year, Kim portrayed the character of Yuan Sy in the Primetime Bida's "My Binondo Girl" who camouflage herself as a male so that his Chinese father will accept her. This year, Kris is playing the character of Andy in the GMA's remake of the Koreanovela "Coffee Prince" wherein she is pretending to be a man in order to got a job in an all-male coffee shop to help her family!

The question goes, who between Kim Chiu and Kris Bernal effective portray the character of a man?! As they say, "sino mas gwapo at sino bagay maging lalaki sa kanila?!"

Premiere Episode of 'A Beautiful Affair' Beats 'Temptation of Wife' Pilot!

Television viewers and netizens nationwide received with open arms the sweeping romantic teleserye A Beautiful Affair topbilled by John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, and John Estrada as proven by the success of its pilot episode Monday (Oct 29) night on ABS-CBN.

Based on data from Kantar Media, the newest program on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida garnered a national TV rating of 25.3%, or ten points higher than the pilot episode of rival GMA’s Temptation of Wife, which only got 15.5%.

Netizens on micro-blogging site Twitter also fell in love with the engaging mix of “kilig,” drama, and humor in the said episode of A Beautiful Affair that traced the friendship of Edward (John) and Leon (John Lloyd), the tragic death of Leon’s mother, and the first encounter of Leon and Gen (Bea) in Austria.

Many also noted the teleserye’s brilliant cinematography and movie-like quality, the fast-paced unfolding of past and present events, and the blazing chemistry of the country’s most beautiful love team.

This week, Gen gradually moves on and lets go of his former boyfriend who has fallen in love with someone else, while Leon tries to find his life’s purpose. The two get to know each other better and nurse their own heartbreaks while touring Vienna. Will the mysterious Leon finally open up to Gen?

Coco Martin - Julia Montes Wedding in 'Walang Hanggan' Creates Another Phenomenal High Rating!

“Walang Hanggan” lead stars Coco Martin and Julia Montes recently melted the hearts of TV viewers as the most-awaited wedding scene of their characters Daniel and Katerina rule ratings game last Monday (October 15).
 

According to the latest data from Kantar Media, the said episode of “Walang Hanggan” garnered 38.3% national TV ratings, posting an almost 26-point difference compared to the 12.9% of its rival program in GMA “Luna Blanca.”
 

Meanwhile, to show appreciation for the TV viewers’ undying love and support, “Walang Hanggan” is all set to treat its loyal fans in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with its back-to-back grand fans’ day this weekend. ABS-CBN's "Ina Kapatid Anak" Versus GMA's "Coffee Prince:" The Battle of Drama Versus Comedy Begins!

Two new TV series from two giant networks just premiered on the same timeslot. ABS-CBN offered their high-caliber drama series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" on their Primetime Bida block. On the other hand, GMA-7 gave the Philippine remake of the hit Koreanovela "Coffee Prince" on their telebabad lineup.

Two new TV series but of two different genres. One is a heavy drama while the other is a romance-comedy. One is an original teleserye while the other is a revival. Which do you think captures more the heart of viewers?! Is it "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" or "Coffee Prince?!"
