'Ina Kapatid Anak' Book 2 Set a Worldwide Trend, All-Time High Ratings Reach!

 ABS-CBN’s top caliber family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” successfully opened its book 2 on Monday (January 14) after its much-awaited grand reveal episode tagged as ‘Gabi ng Katotohanan’ hit the show’s all-time high national TV ratings and conquered the top-trending topics on Twitter Philippines and worldwide.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the beginning of book 2 that exposed the truth about the real identity of Kim Chiu’s character Celyn garnered a national TV rating of 36.3%, or almost 14 points higher than the pilot episode of its newest rival program in GMA "Indio," which only got 22.7%. Also, the ratings earned by “Ina Kapatid Anak” was almost double of another GMA primetime teleserye “Temptation of Wife” that only obtained 19% national TV ratings.

Aside from ruling the ratings game as the no.1 primetime TV series nationwide, “Ina Kapatid Anak” also dominated the popular microblogging site Twitter with the episode’s non-stop revelations and confrontations, especially among the characters of its lead stars Kim, Maja Salvador, Janice de Belen, Ariel Rivera and Cherry Pie Picache. With the netizens’ overflowing emotions, the title of the teleserye became a national trending topic, while ‘Cherry Pie’ made it on the top trending topics worldwide, with the seasoned actress’ outstanding dramatic performance as Teresa, the mother of Celyn.

To show their appreciation to their loyal viewers, “Ina Kapatid Anak” stars Kim, Xian and Enchong will fly to Cebu to join ABS-CBN Regional Network Group’s Kapamilya Karavan this Saturday (January 19), 4pm, at Ayala Center, Cebu.

The 2012 TV Series Craze Awards Winner: Xian Lim is the Leading Man of the Year!

For the second time around, the Kapamilya hunk actor Xian Lim emerged as the Leading Man of the Year here in our very own TV Series Craze Awards! Last year, Xian also grabbed the same title after leading in the teleserye "My Binondo Girl" wherein he played the character of Andy opposite Kim Chiu.    

Today, Xian is portraying the character of Liam, again opposite Kim in the hit TV series "Ina Kapatid Anak." His hunky boy-next door role made the people choose him to give the said title!

Xian got a landslide overall percentage votes of 88.81% beating the other leading men like Coco Martin (Walang Hanggan), Piolo Pascual (Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig), John Lloyd Cruz (A Beautiful Affair), Dingdong Dantes (My Beloved), Jake Cuenca (Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo), and Richard Yap (Be Careful With My Heart).   

Taking the second spot is Coco with 5.52%, the third spot is Daniel Padilla with 2.09%, and the fourth spot is Enrique Gil with 0.79%.

'Ina Kapatid Anak' Beats the Pilot Episode of 'Pahiram ng Sandali!'

 

ABS-CBN’s top caliber family drama series, “Ina Kapatid Anak” topbilled by Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Enchong Dee and Maja Salvador trounced its newest rival program in GMA by almost 16 points.

Based on the data from Kantar Media on Monday (November 26), “Ina Kapatid Anak” garnered 32.9% national TV ratings, while the pilot episode of its latest competition "Pahiram ng Sandali” only got 17.5%. The Kapamilya series also ruled its timeslot last Friday (November 23) with 31.9% national TV ratings, or almost 14 points higher than the final episode of "Coffee Prince: Pinoy Version" which only got 18.2%.

Meanwhile, the plot of “Ina Kapatid Anak” continues to thicken now that Julio (Ariel Rivera) already found Teresa (Cherry Pie Picache). Will this be the start of more heated confrontations between their families? Will Teresa be forced to reveal Celyn’s (Kim) real identity or will she keep on hiding it?

'Ina Kapatid Anak' is Another Three-Generation High Caliber Drama Series From ABS-CBN!

The Kapamilya network once more brings us another three-generation high-caliber drama TV series. Starting this Monday night, October 8, 2012 get ready for the premiere of "Ina, Kapatid Anak" in the network's undisputed Primetime Bida. 

"Ina, Kapatid Anak" is actually the third TV series of ABS-CBN where the story interconnects three generations. In 2011, they started the three-generation teleserye via the top-rating  "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin." The first generation was composed of the veteran stars namely Ronaldo Valdez, Dante Rivero, and Boots Anson-Roa. The second generation was comprised of Amy Austria, Tonton Gutierrez, John Estrada, and Lorna Tolentino. And the third or the current generation was completed by the young stars namely Maja Salvador, Andi Eigenmann, Martin Del Rosario, and Coco Martin.

The trend continues this year via the phenomenal hit TV series "Walang Hanggan." Again, the first generation was composed of the veteran stars namely Helen Gamboa, Eddie Gutierrez, and Susan Roces. Then the second generation was put to life by the characters of Richard Gomez, Rita Avila, Eula Valdez, and Dawn Zulueta. The teleserye marks the return of today's four of the  hottest young stars namely Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, and Kim Chiu on Primetime. Maja and Kim were reunited after they worked together on "My Binondo Girl." This is also the second TV series of Kim and Xian as a love team after they were introduced as a tandem in the said teleserye. It seems that Janice and Cherry Pie switch characters in the teleserye since Cherry Pie now plays as a kindhearted mother Theresa after being hated as the wicked Mrs. Sy in "My Binondo Girl" while Janice now portrays as an antagonist after being loved via her kind character as the mother of "Budoy."

The three veteran stars in the first generation namely Eddie Gutierrez, Pilar Pilapil, and Ronaldo Valdez also switch characters: Eddie from a humble character in "Walang Hanggan" to the powerful rich Lucas in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak;" Pilar from a kontrabida wowa in "Agua Bendita" to a kind mother in this teleserye; and Ronaldo from the powerful military leader Sgt.
