'24/7 in Love' is Helmed by Four Young Directors!

For the first time in Philippine Cinema, 15 of the biggest stars and four top-caliber young directors in the country will join forces to bring the moviegoers to star-studded movie event of the year from Star Cinema--"24/7 In Love," the 20th anniversary film offering of Star Magic which will hit theaters nationwide on November 21 (Wednesday).

Under the direction of Mae Cruz, Dado Lumibao, John-D Lazatin, and Frasco Mortiz, "24/7 In Love" features seven episodes that shares different love stories topbilled by the love teams of Piolo Pascual, Zaijan Jaranilla, and Xyriel Manabat; Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo; Sam Milby and Pokwang; Diether Ocampo and Maja Salvador; Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo; Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson; and Angelica Pangilinan and John Lloyd Cruz.

According to Direk Mae, who handled the episodes of Bea-Zanjoe, Kimerald, and Kathniel love teams, the movie was so grand that it almost seemed like a Star Magic Ball event.

"It's definitely an event in Philippine cinema to have all these actors together," said Mae. "Para siyang isang malaking reunion! Imagine, the biggest stars of Star Magic and ABS-CBN sa mapapanood sa iisang pelikula lang. Talagang sulit na sulit ang bayad ng tao kasi ang daming stars plus maraming kuwento ng pag-ibig ang nandito."

Direk Dado, meanwhile, shared his excitement over the unique concept of their film. "Naiiba siya in a way na its episodic but each episode is tackling love, pero iba-iba nga lang aspeto ng pagmamahal," said the director of the Piolo-Zaijan-Xyriel episode. "Sa episode namin 'yung love na wagas ang focus. It may be very young, it may be the people na hindi pa mature mag-isip, pero pagdating sa pag-ibig ay kaya nilang gumawa ng desisyon."

Just like his fellow filmmakers, Direk John-D felt the extra-ordinary 'star power' of "24/7 In Love." That was why when he was offered to direct the Maja-Diether and John Lloyd-Angelica episodes, he instantly said 'yes!'

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime movie event na handog ng Star Magic at Star Cinema para sa mga lahat ng fans," said Direk John-D. "Sobrang laki ng movie sa dami pa lang ng artista..This kind of movie only happens once. So we’re all positive and we’re all in this together for the film."

On the other hand, Direk Frasco could not believe at first when he was asked to be part of the film, since he just had his first movie "The Reunion" shown this year.

"Natuwa ako kasi another opportunity ito na gumawa ng bagong bagay na hindi ko pa nagagawa sa television," said Direk Frasco, who was in charge of the Pokwang-Sam episode. "Sa buong movie, may mga moments na magre-reflect ka rin kasi feeling ko bawat isang kuwento dun sa may mga taong makaka-relate. For me it’s a story about life. Kasi at the end of the day, kung magugunaw man ang mundo, hahanapin mo 'yung taong mahal mo."

Also part of "24/7 In Love" are other Star Magic artists including John Lapus, Maricar Reyes, Jayson Gainza, Matt Evans, Nina Dolino, Joseph Marco, Jason Francisco, Helga Krapf, Andrei Felix, Seppi Borromeo, and Ian Rusell.

John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo Take Their Most Mature and Bravest Roles in 'The Mistress!'

The Lover... The Wife... The Benefactor... The Mistress....! These are the four characters which excites everybody to see in the newest Star Cinema movie, "The Mistress!"

Yeah, the movie unveils the story of a four-sided love affair. It's a heavy-drama romantic film which has a very controversial plot!

"The Mistress" is also the 10TH Year Anniversary offering of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo as a love team!

As John Lloyd and Bea's tandem comes into a decade, they were now taking into more serious characters. 'LaBers' (the popular monicker of the Lloydie-Bea love team) reveals in the recently held Blogger's Conference that the "The Mistress" is their bravest and most mature movie they ever involved with!

Bea who is in the title role plays the character of Sari, a young woman who is the mistress of the rich old man (Ronaldo Valdez). But Sari is not a typical mistress that we used to know. She is decent, clean, and family-oriented girl who will do everything to support her family.

John Lloyd Cruz on the other hand portrays the character of JD, a young man who deeply fall in love to a young woman who is already committed to a married man! Hmmm..what a controversial twist!

Here is the full trailer of "The Mistress." Let's watch this first:

Completing the four-sided love story is Ms. Hilda Koronel who made a grand showbiz comeback for almost a decade just for this movie! She is the legal wife of the character of Mr. Ronaldo Valdez.

During our discussion, Bea reveals that at first she is so nervous to work with Ronaldo. She is not comfortable to work with him since he is already one of the veterans and one of the most respected names in showbiz also taking consideration their wide age gap. Besides, Ronaldo is Bea's father in the previous hit TV series "Betty La Fea."

But Ronaldo breaks the ice. He made the first move to make Bea very comfortable with him. And it works that's why they got a perfect blend in the movie!

Bea also took the effort to make her look more mature in the movie. According to her, she uses dark makeups to reveal her mature appearance fitting her role!

The movie is another masterpiece of Ms. Olivia M. Lamasan. "Inang" (as they termed Ms. Olivia) reveals that they conceptualized the film by looking into the other side of society. "Kahit saan ka pumunta, marami dyan na mayayaman, business na may mga mistress. And even their wives tolerate them because of wealth and money," Inang shared.

Vanessa Valdez, the writer of the story added that they came up with the story by putting together their own experience. "Nagsimula namin maisip 'ung kwento 'nung makita namin 'ung isang rich man na customer sa isang restaurant na attracted sa isang young girl. Araw-araw, lagi na niyang hinahanap 'ung girl tuwing pumupunta sya dun. And that's the start, we made a twist, a plot from that," Vanessa added.

Before the end of the conference, Bea and Lloydie revealed the secret why their love team is the strongest among the others. Lloydie said that their tandem won't last a decade if he courted Bea. "Masaya kaming magkaibigan. And that friendship strengthen as time passes by," Lloydie shared.

And a remarkable quote from Bea which truly strikes us says, "you cannot seduce a happy husband!"

"The Mistress" is showing today, September 12, 2012 on more than 100 theaters nationwide! It's surely another blockbuster film! Congrats Bea and John Lloyd as well as to the whole cast and staffs of the movie!(www.tvseriescraze.blogspot.com)

If three young actresses today namely Maja Salvador, Lovi Poe, and Empress were sharing the title of "Horror Princess" since they were all star in different hit horror films, will Martin Del Rosario be the sole owner of the title "Horror Prince?!"

Meanwhile, Empress's role in the story is very significant. What is currently happening to the lives of Angel Aquino (Rosa), Enrique Gil (Rommel), and Martin Del Rosario (Amiel) is influenced by her character! Hmmm...sounds exciting!

Empress is fresh from the Regal Films horror movie "Guni-Guni." Because of starring in two consecutive horror flicks, Empress was compared to Maja Salvador being the so-called "Horror Princess!" But Empress didn't mind the comparison.

After the success of the horror flicks like "Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang" and "The Healing," Star Cinema together with Skylight Light Films bring us their third horror movie offering this year. This is "Amorosa: The Revenge!"

"Amorosa: The Revenge" is not only an ordinary film we all know. It combines terror and family values with a touch of psychological factor. The director of the movie Direk Topel Lee also reveals that he uses his special technique for this movie.

But aside from these things, what makes "Amorosa" an extra-ordinary horror film is that the lead stars and the production staff of the movie experienced a real-life horror while filming the movie. These were unveiled by the cast and director of the movie during the recently held Blogger's Conference of "Amorosa" in Wangfu Restaurant, I'll Terrazo, Tomas Morato, QC.

Ejay Falcon Joins the Lead Stars of "Amorosa"

The movie was shot in Tanay, Rizal. The foggy location in the middle of the forest contributes scream in the movie. "We rented an old house for this film," Direk Topel shared.

Direk Enrico Santos of Skylight Films said that while shooting the movie, they experienced their own ghost stories. "Minsan may biglang kumakalabog. Or minsan biglang sasara 'ung pinto kahit walang tao," he narrated.

"Sabi 'nung isang staff namin na nakakakita talaga, meron daw talagang nagbabatay dun sa bahay," Ms. Angel Aquino, the lead star of the movie added. "But we're thankful na wala kaming nagambala or na-abused na spirit while doing the movie," Angel further shared.

Adding more terrifying experience to the team was that, "kahit bumabagyo na at bumabaha sa buong Metro Manila, kami tuloy pa din sa shooting. Talagang na-trapped kami sa Tanay," Direk Topel unveiled. Majority of the scenes in the movie were finished during the devastating 'Habagat' week in the country.

Martin Del Rosario Embarks Another Challenging Role in the Movie after "The Healing"

Ejay Falcon Has A Surprising Role in the Film!

Empress Sites the Significance of Her Character in the Movie

Direk Topel Lee Shares That He Uses His Special Technique in the Movie

Fresh from the success of "The Healing," Martin Del Rosario returns on another horror movie via "Amorosa." He plays the character of Amiel, one of the sons of Angel and the brother of Enrique. "Challenging ang role ko dito since I'll portray the character of a blind man."

When asked about his terrifying experience, Martin shared, "ako nung bata ako, takot talaga ako sa manyika." "But when I grow old, na-overcome ko na siya. Pero 'nung ginagawa namin 'ung movie na sinasaliwan ng frightening sound ng piano, bumalik 'ung takot ko. Pagnakakakita uli ako ng dolls, agad kong pinalalayo s'kin," Martin explained.

Enrique Gil on the other hand shared that he is a person who didn't got frightened easily. "Hindi talaga ako matatakuting tao. But when doing the movie, I felt scared because of the location." "Foggy kase 'ung place tapos nasa gitna pa ng forest na walang tao," he added. "Amorosa: The Revenge" is actually Enrique's first ever horror film!

The cast also revealed their favorite horror film which truly makes them scared. Majority of them like "Jaws" and "The Exorcist." Ejay Falcon who is also part of the lead characters shared that his most favorite scary movie is the "Aswang" episode of the local film "Shake, Rattle, and Roll!"

The Whole Cast and Director of the Movie

Angel Aquino further shared that her character as Rosa is her most challenging role. "Dito kase hindi ka lang nananakot. Horror sya na may kasamang drama," she emphasized. Angel is best known in the teleseryes like "Magkaribal" and "Maria La Del Barrio" as she played the remarkable antagonists namely Vera and Victoria Dela Vega! "Amorosa: The Revenge" is actually her second horror movie since she was already part of the previous classic film "Siquor."

The movie is also a family drama wherein the story revolves around the mother and sons. The family undergone an accident that will change their lives. It tackles the importance of decision and its consequences.

According to the director of the movie, the title "Amorosa" was derived from a midnight flower. We will see how this kind of flower is related to the whole flow of the story. For me, the title of the movie is actually the combination of the names of the characters of Martin as Amiel, Enrique as Rommel, and Angel as Rosa. Putting "Amiel," "Rommel", and "Rosa" altogether brings us "Amorosa!" Cool!

Also part of the movie are Carlo Aquino, Franco Daza, Nico Antonio, Jairus Aquino, Mosang, Richard Quan, and with the special participation of Xyriel Manabat. The movie also introduces Jane Oineza.

"Amorosa: The Revenge" will start to frighten the theaters nationwide this coming August 29, 2012! It's truly a must see movie and an extra-ordinary horror flick! Two thumbs up!(www.tvseriescraze.blogspot.com)
