Double Success: 'Be Careful with My Heart' Dominates the TV Ratings and Trends on Twitter!

ABS-CBN's hit romantic-comedy TV series "Be Careful With My Heart" is taking the country by storm as it continues to capture the hearts of noontime viewers nationwide as proven by its latest all-time-high national TV ratings of 31.3%.

Based on the data from Kantar Media last Friday (January 25), the Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap-starrer ruled the its new timeslot and trashed its rival noontime show in GMA, which only got 14.8%, or almost 16 points lower than the national TV ratings garnered by the well-loved Kapamilya kilig-serye.

Aside from the ratings game, "Be Careful With My Heart" also conquered the list of Twitter's nationwide trending topics because of last Friday's much-talked-about episode, where Sir Chief (Richard) traveled to San Nicolas and serenaded Maya (Jodi) through the romantic ballad "Sorry Na, Pwede Ba?" The scenes were such a hit among TV viewers that Twitter Philippines was ruled by topics related to the show including Sir Chief, Maya, #mayaforgivesirchief, and #sirchiefnationalharanaday.

If a simple serenade already turned loyal viewers crazier about the show, can the fans handle the 'kilig' when Sir Chief decides to win back Maya, especially now that she has already resigned as Abby's (Mutya Orquia) yaya?

ABS-CBN’s hit kilig-serye "Be Careful With My Heart" has recently proven its strong fan base nationwide as it conquered the noontime slot with its astonishing ratings win by scoring a national TV rating of 26.5% last Monday (January 14), beating rival GMA’s "Chef Boy Logro: Kusina Master" and “Eat Bulaga” with only 6.4% and 15.2% national TV ratings, respectively based on the data from Kantar Media.

Luis Manzano To Break the Maya-Sir Chief Love Team in 'Be Careful with My Heart!'

Actor-host Luis Manzano is now part of ABS-CBN's hit daytime kilig-serye "Be Careful With My Heart" topbilled by the sensational love team of Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap. Luis portrays the role of James Ventura, the vice president for flight operations of Time Airways, the company where Maya (Jodi) works as an OJT (on-the-job trainee).

"I was very ecstatic when I learned that I'll join the show because I'm a fan of it to begin with," said Luis who is so excited to work with Jodi again. "Jodi is really my first partner in showbiz so it's a pleasure being able to work with her again."

When asked whether his character is off to break the Maya-Sir Chief love team, Luis simply answered, "Le'ts wait and see! But I hope you guys enjoy my character. We are all fans of the show."

'Be Careful With My Heart' is Extended Until Middle of 2013!

Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap both feel blessed with how 2012 turned their careers around through their undisputed no.1 daytime TV program “Be Careful With My Heart,” which was recently announced to be extended until middle of 2013.

“Our show became the greatest gift we got this year,” said Jodi. “The privilege given to us to be a source of inspiration to many is already a very nice gift. I think it’s not only the audience who gets inspired by our characters because we, ourselves, learn so much from them.”

“The success of ‘Be Careful With My Heart’ is such a blessing. I would say that we are blessed to have everything feel-good in the show,” shared Richard. “And we’re really thankful for the support of the fans and we assure them that we’ll do our best to make you happy everyday.”

Meanwhile, when asked about their plans for Christmas, Jodi and Richard will said that they will spend it with their families.

“Christmas will be spent with my loved ones. I’m planning to cook for noche buena for my family,” said Jodi. “We are also going out of the country for a vacation. That’s my Christmas/New Year treat for them.”

“I plan to spend as much time as I can with my wife and kids this Holiday season to make up for all the times I haven’t been able to be with them due to my taping schedule,” said Richard.

Richard Yap Proves His Strong Appeal in the Big Dome!

 

"Be Careful With My Heart" leading man Richard Yap has recently proven his strong appeal and tremendous charm as his guest appearance in  "Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat" thanksgiving concert filled Smart Araneta Coliseum with screams and shrieks of fans of all ages. 

Richard (now popularly known as ‘Sir Chief) joined the said event as he was once part of the phenomenal TV drama, where he played the role of Emily's (Dawn Zulueta) suitor, Henry de Dios.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s well-loved Primetanghali kilig-serye, “Be Careful With My Heart” won in national TV ratings over GMA’s two newly launched morning teleseryes, maintaining its daytime leadership in the country. 

Based on latest data from Kantar Media on Monday (October 22), the Jodi Sta. Maria-Richard Yap starrer scored a national TV rating of 23.1% versus the pilot episodes of "One True Love: A Second Chance" which only got 8% and  “Cielo de Angelina” that only rated at 10.2%.

Jodi Sta. Maria Treats Upcoming Rival Teleseryes as a Friendly Competition!

ABS-CBN's primetanghali queen Jodi Sta. Maria said that she is pleased with everything that has been happening with their top-rating romantic-comedy series "Be Careful With My Heart" and welcomes the friendly competition that the new teleseryes of the rival network will bring to the daytime block.
 

"There is no problem with that. It's just a friendly competition," said Jodi, who is now more popularly known by the viewers as Maya, the trusted househelp of 'Sir Chief,' played by Richard Yap. "If their shows will also promote good values, optimism, and will also send out good vibes to the TV viewers, I think it would be great. Also, if the new shows will mean more jobs for everybody, that would be fun!"
 

Despite the competition, Jodi strongly believes that the public will continue to support their show mainly because of its feel-good effect. "I must say that they'll keep on following us because of the lightness of our story," she said. "Everytime they watch 'Be Careful With My Heart' the viewers forget about their problems.  They can relate with our characters. And every single day, they learn something new from Maya."
 

Aside from the daily dose of good vibes and romance, Jodi shared that fans should never miss the next episodes of "Be Careful With My Heart" because these will capture the unique closeness of Maya and Sir Chief.
