Double Success: 'Be Careful with My Heart' Dominates the TV Ratings and Trends on Twitter!

ABS-CBN's hit romantic-comedy TV series "Be Careful With My Heart" is taking the country by storm as it continues to capture the hearts of noontime viewers nationwide as proven by its latest all-time-high national TV ratings of 31.3%.

Based on the data from Kantar Media last Friday (January 25), the Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap-starrer ruled the its new timeslot and trashed its rival noontime show in GMA, which only got 14.8%, or almost 16 points lower than the national TV ratings garnered by the well-loved Kapamilya kilig-serye.

Aside from the ratings game, "Be Careful With My Heart" also conquered the list of Twitter's nationwide trending topics because of last Friday's much-talked-about episode, where Sir Chief (Richard) traveled to San Nicolas and serenaded Maya (Jodi) through the romantic ballad "Sorry Na, Pwede Ba?" The scenes were such a hit among TV viewers that Twitter Philippines was ruled by topics related to the show including Sir Chief, Maya, #mayaforgivesirchief, and #sirchiefnationalharanaday.

If a simple serenade already turned loyal viewers crazier about the show, can the fans handle the 'kilig' when Sir Chief decides to win back Maya, especially now that she has already resigned as Abby's (Mutya Orquia) yaya?

GMA-7 Releases Official Statement Regarding the Sarah Lahbati Issues!

Sarah Lahbati, GMA-7's homegrown talent announced in her Twitter account last Wednesday that she decided to go to Switzerland to study and leave her showbiz career for sometime. She even raised issues about her home network not treating her well.

Sarah also announced that she signed contract with Annabelle Rama's Royal Artist being her newest talent management. 

Reports also said that Sarah walked out during a taping in one of GMA's show which caused the program to pack-up.

In line with the said issues, the Kapuso network releases an official statement sent via TV Series Craze's email regarding Sarah's controversies. It reads:

"Last December, Sarah Lahbati unilaterally decided to take a leave of absence of one (1) month from GMA Network, because she said she wanted to de-stress and unwind.  Because her reasons were vague, they were not accepted by management.  While we understand that work in our industry can be stressful (as in any business), we believe that this is not only unavoidable in most cases, but also a part of what one does as a professional and/or performing artist.

Her leave of absence was also disapproved by management because of her pending obligations (i.e. Party Pilipinas, on-going promos and other endorsement commitments).  However, on the evening of Jan 2, she tweeted that she will be going to Switzerland to study, despite the disapproval given to her last December on taking a leave.  This is in violation of her contract, because she has to perform and appear in programs and events assigned to her, and make herself available to faithfully and promptly fulfill all engagements contracted for her by GMA.

At the same time, she has yet to address the issue of her walking out during taping, which caused the production team to pack-up, and incur an additional cost of 500k.  She is therefore, currently under investigation and the network is still studying on what actions to take."

Sarah is a product of GMA-7's hit artista- reality show "Starstruck." She was launched in a leading role via the afternoon fantasy series "Kokak." Afterwards, she was paired to Richard Gutierrez via the Primetime's "Makapiling Kang Muli." Mario Maurer's Guesting on 'Gandang Gabi Vice' Trends on Twitter Worldwide!

Mario Maurer rocks! It seems that the whole world is watching during the airing of this Sunday's episode of "Gandang Gabi Vice" when the Thai heartthrob superstar Mario Mario graced the said show!

Mario showed his 'makulit' side with Vice Ganda! He shared laughs and fun with Vice together with his "Suddenly It's Magic" leading lady Erich Gonzales and co-stars Kaikai Bautista and Joross Gamboa.

As a result, the said episode of "GGV" trended on the microblogging site Twitter not only in the Philippines but worldwide!     

 The hashtags #MarioMaurerOnGGV and #GGV became the top trending topics worldwide! The hashtag #MarioMaurerOnGGV also became No. 1 during the airing of the show.

Many netizens commented that the recent "GGV" episode is one of the best episodes ever! Many can't still get over on Mario's funny side as well as his 'kulitan' moments with Vice Ganda!
