Kuya Kim Unveils the Mystery of Sto. Nino!

What do the Ati-Atihan, the Dingyang, and the Sinulog festivals have in one thing in common?  The festivals honor the Child Jesus Sto Nino.

This Sunday (Jan 20) in "Matanglawin," anchor Kuya Kim Atienza traces the history of this miraculous religious image, as well as its legacy and influence by featuring people who collect and dress up these figures and those were reportedly healed by Sto Nino.

Get to meet a grandmother who doesn’t only dress up more than a hundred Sto. Niños as cavaliers, Katipuneros, fishermen, basketball players, and policemen, but also dresses up her grandson during special occasions as the Child Jesus to show her faith.

Sto. Nino is said to be a source of many miracles, which made it one of the most beloved religious icons in the country. After a a church was burned down in Cebu, the only thing that was left unscathed was the Sto. Nino. There is also a Sto. Nino in Las Pinas that is said to cry tears of oil that can heal fatal ailments.
