Robin Padilla, Vhong Navarro, Pokwang and Angel Locsin's Friendship Strengthened via ‘TODA Max’
A few months after ABS-CBN’s flagship sitcom "TODA Max" was launched, it didn’t only become no. 1 in the ratings game, it has also strengthened the friendship of action superstar Robin Padilla, hailed comedy prince Vhong Navarro, seasoned comedienne Pokwang and drama princess Angel Locsin.
The four said that in the few months of working together, they have already created countless memories to cherish. Their characters in the sitcom may sometimes have a hard time settling their differences, but their real camaraderie tells otherwise. They really enjoy the company of each other.
Besides their harmonious working relationship, they are also proud of each others’ achievements. Vhong is a now noontime show host of “It’s Showtime.” Robin also embarks on a new teleserye entitled “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” with Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis, while Angel is launching her new movie “Unofficially Yours” and Pokwang recently starred in acclaimed films.
“Of course, we’re very happy. We’re thankful to ABS-CBN for letting us explore not only comedy, but also drama and other TV genres,” Robin said.
Vhong, on the other hand, didn’t expect that besides starring in top-rating “TODA Max,” he’ll also be given a chance to host the Kapamilya network’s new big project “It’s Showtime.” He considers this blessing another dream come true.
“My dream is only to become dancer. To become host of a noontime show is something I never thought of,” he said.
As Angel’s relationship with the athlete she’s dating goes strong, her bonding with co-stars in “TODA Max” also gets tighter. She said that the sitcom paved way to reveal her funny side.
For Pokwang, if she has her recently built mansion, she also has Beverly Gil’s as her second home, as her co-stars and the members of the production team are like a family.
Meanwhile, in its new season, “TODA Max” will make more people happy, as it intensifies its comedy offering.
“TODA Max” also remains undisputed in its timeslot. According to the data from Kantar Media last Saturday (February 4), it got 13.2 % TV rating, which is higher than the 11.5% and 3.6% of the competing stations’ public service programs.
