Comedy Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas Joins 'TodaMax,' Will She Compete with Pokwang for Binoe's Heart?!

Ai Ai Delas Alas takes the spotlight this week as the veteran comedian guest on “Toda Max” this Saturday (November 17) to continue the sitcom’s month-long anniversary celebration.

This will mark the second episode under the theme “Tribute to ABS-CBN Comedy Shows” wherein veteran guests join in the fun at Beverly Gil's. This Saturday, Ai Ai will play the role of a woman who claims that she is Tol’s (Robin Padilla) first wife.

“It has been a while since I last tried my hand in sitcom. I really appreciate the warm welcome of the Toda Max family and enjoyed my guesting so much,” said Ai Ai.

Meanwhile, after the recent win of “Toda Max” as the Best Comedy Show in the Catholic Mass Media Awards the show is nominated again as Best Comedy/Gag Show for the PMPC Star Awards for TV. Other Kapamilya comedy shows like “Banana Split” and “Goin’ Bulilit” also vie for the award. Also nominated are “Toda Max” stars Robin Padilla and Vhong Navarro for the Best Comedy Actor award and Angel Locsin and Pokwang for the Best Comedy Actress award. Karen Reyes and Myrtle Sarrosa also received nominations for the Best New Female TV Personality for their appearance on the show.

“Thank you PMPC Star Awards for seeing all the efforts we put on Toda Max. I didn’t expect to be nominated as Best Comedy Actress especially since Ms. Pokwang, a veteran comedian, is also included in the show. This is really a great honor for me,” said Locsin.

On “Toda Max” this Saturday, Aina (Ai Ai) will introduce herself as Tol’s (Binoe) first wife during the very night that the latter will propose to his girlfriend, Joy (Cristine Reyes). Tol’s romantic advances to Joy will be hindered especially because both Justin (Vhong) and Isabel (Angel) are already being convinced about this.

Is Aina really Tol’s first wife? Find out on “Toda Max” this Saturday (November 17) after “Maalaala Mo Kaya” on ABS-CBN.(www.tvseriescraze.blogspot.com)

Vhong and Mina's kitchen tricks will be tested on “Toda Max” this Saturday (October 27) as the two battle it out in a cooking showdown.

“I am prepared for this cooking competition because of the lessons I learned from my culinary school. This showdown must not be missed,” said Carmina, this week’s “Toda Max” guest.

Carmina will play the role of Chef Mina, a four-time winner in the competition “That’s My Chef” who yearns to win one more time to be hailed as a Master Chef Hall of famer. Meanwhile, Tol (Binoe) and Justin (Vhong) will find out that Lady G (Pokwang) has forced evicted them from their home and that Tatay Mac (Al Tantay) and Isabel (Angel Locsin) are the new homeowners. To retrieve their home, Lady G requires them to give a down payment of P100,000.

Thinking that all hope’s gone, Justin will be invited by Chef Mina to compete with her in a cooking showdown to finally get her much-awaited win. If Justin beats her, she’ll give him a P100,000 cash prize.

'Toda Max' is CMMA's 2012 Best Comedy Program!

ABS-CBN’s sitcom “Toda Max” starring Robin Padilla, Vhong Navarro, Pokwang and Angel Locsin won the Best Comedy Program award in the 34th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) recently and according to Vhong, it is an honor to receive such award.

“To receive a nomination is already a great honor so imagine our surprise when Toda Max won. Our sitcom isn’t even a year old yet,” said Vhong.

He also said that since jurors behind the CMMA are academicians, civic and religious leaders and members of the clergy, they’re very sensitive in choosing the winners. “I think what contributed to our win is the fact that we don’t only make people laugh, we also make sure that they learn something from the show.”

Robin, who portrays Tol in the sitcom said, “Toda Max imparts moral values to the viewers and I think that’s one of the reasons why we won this award.”

The cast promises to continue making people laugh through their moral lesson-infused episodes.

Meanwhile on “Toda Max” this Saturday, Isabel (Angel Locsin) finally receives a job offer and hopes that her neighbors and family members will behave properly during the background inspection by her prospective clients. But they will be surprised by the return of Isabel’s aunt George (Gina PareƱo) who was just recently pardoned from prison.

Will everything work out well despite the presence of Isabel’s war freak aunt? Find out in “Toda Max” where Kiray Celis will also join the fun after “The X Factor Philippines” on ABS-CBN this Saturday (October 6).(www.tvseriescraze.blogspot.com)

Angel Locsin Sets to Return on Primetime TV Series Next Year!

Blessings are pouring in on actress Angel Locsin with the many film projects given to her. The actress however wishes to be back in doing teleseryes.

Her last project was a back-to-back team-up with John Lloyd Cruz in the teleserye “Imortal” and in the film “Unofficially Yours”. This year, she was given two movies to work on – “One More Try”, a film that will join the Manila Film Fest this December and a horror-comedy film that co-stars Vhong Navarro.

According to the actress however, the aspired teleserye won’t arrive this year. “There are plans but it won’t be this year. Most likely next year,” said Angel.

“I really enjoy doing films, but since I’m a breadwinner, I want to be able to save up,” she added. Despite this, the actress is positive that next year is the best time for a teleserye because it would be difficult for her to manage it with her upcoming films.

Meanwhile, contrary to her success in real life, her character, Isabel Padausdos in “TODA Max” will undergo depression for being unemployed for six months. The whole neighborhood will try their best not to make Isabel (Angel) feel useless by not mentioning anything related to being jobless.

Justin’s (Vhong) previous employee Hap wants to go back to work in his carinderia but Justin has already hired Benjo (Benjie Paras) to replace him. Unbeknown to many, Benjo is Hap’s half brother and the two are not in good terms. Their strife will get worse because of the job and will result to a mixed martial arts fight.

How will Isabel move on from her depression? Will the brothers Hap and Benjo ever make peace? Find out this Saturday (September 1) on “TODA Max” after “X Factor Philippines” on ABS-CBN.(www.tvseriescraze.blogspot.com)
