Kuya Kim Unveils the Mystery of Sto. Nino!


What do the Ati-Atihan, the Dingyang, and the Sinulog festivals have in one thing in common?  The festivals honor the Child Jesus Sto Nino.

This Sunday (Jan 20) in "Matanglawin," anchor Kuya Kim Atienza traces the history of this miraculous religious image, as well as its legacy and influence by featuring people who collect and dress up these figures and those were reportedly healed by Sto Nino.

Get to meet a grandmother who doesn’t only dress up more than a hundred Sto. NiƱos as cavaliers, Katipuneros, fishermen, basketball players, and policemen, but also dresses up her grandson during special occasions as the Child Jesus to show her faith.

Sto. Nino is said to be a source of many miracles, which made it one of the most beloved religious icons in the country. After a a church was burned down in Cebu, the only thing that was left unscathed was the Sto. Nino. There is also a Sto. Nino in Las Pinas that is said to cry tears of oil that can heal fatal ailments.

Kuya Kim Unveils the 2013 Fortunes of Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, and Sir Chief in 'Matanglawin!'

Myrtle Sarrosa Joins Kuya Kim in the Cosplay and Toy Collection Episode of 'Matanglawin' This Sunday!





Kuya Kim Atienza, together with PBB Teen Big Winner Myrtle Sarrosa, immerses in the world of cartoons and anime characters as he bonds with toy collectors and cosplayers this Sunday (Nov 4) in “Matanglawin.”

The country’s Trivia King found more collections to showcase the Filipinos’ love for toys and different characters as Rep. JV Ejercito and director Wenn Deramas opened their doors for him and showed off of their respective array of toys.

Myrtle, on the hand, shows you her 50 sets of cosplay costumes and props. Watch her as she transforms from bubbly Myrtle to Sailormoon, to Super Girl, to Rena the Green Archer, and many more.

Some of the cosplayers they will meet will get to educate and inform kids while donning their cosplay costumes.

The adventure aint over yet as Kuya Kim reveals his surprise for his special guest host because not only will she have an encounter with a gigantic robot and Storm Troopers that move, she’ll also get to enter one of the newest toy museums in the metro.

Exorcism Features in 'Matanglawin' Halloween Special This Sunday!


Kuya Kim enters the worlds of science and religion to sort facts from fiction when it comes to exorcism in the Halloween special of “Matanglawin” this Sunday (Oct 28)

Join the country’s Trivia King as he gets to know not only the “weapons” and “rituals” of exorcism, but also the why’s and how’s of demonic possession.

Get to know the difference between possession and oppression, and along the journey, hear real-life stories of exorcism.

Exorcism is the process of warding off evil spirits that are either in full or partly in possession of a person. Every year, there are about 15,000 cases of possession according to a report made by international media outfit CNN.

Some of these even possessions have become inspirations for Hollywood movies like “The Exorcist” or “The Exorcism of Emily Rose.”

According to priests Father Jocis Syquia and Father Jojo Zerrudo, who specialize under the Office of Exorcism under the Catholic Church, possession and exorcism are scarier in real life than on the big screen.
