The Royal Finale this Friday: Who is "I" in 'Princess and I?!'

 After almost a year of winning the hearts of TV viewers, the country’s most successful teen teleserye “Princess and I” will air its ‘royal ending’ on Friday (February 1) on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.

With its impressive story, cast, locations, costumes, and musical score, the royal teleserye topbilled by Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Albert Martinez, and Gretchen Barretto, quickly became a hit not only among the young viewers but also among families. Loyal fans were hooked with the funny adventures and lesson-filled misadventures of a simple young girl named Mikay (Kathryn), the long lost Princess Areeyah of the Kingdom of Yangdon.

From its consistent high national TV ratings, “Princess and I” truly conquered the nation as proven by its top trending topics on Twitter almost every night; jampacked mall tours; best-selling official soundtrack and merchandise; numerous magazine covers; and its three major Royal Fairs that filled Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, Ynares Center in Antipolo City, and Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

With the show’s phenomenal success, Gretchen and Albert became royal household names for their roles as Ashi Behati and King Anand, respectively; Daniel, Khalil and Enrique were crowned as their generation’s young superstars; and Kathryn was hailed as the country’s newest teleserye princess and the ‘teen queen’ of primetime TV.

Daniel Padilla Endorses KFC Streetwise, Poster and TVC Released!

After the success of his onscreen tandem with Kathryn Bernardo via the teleseryes like "Growing Up" and "Princess and I" and via the movies like "24/7 in Love" and "Sisterakas," Daniel Padilla is now introduced being the newest endorser of KFC's Streetwise Bundle.

'Princess and I' is Now on Its Last 3 Weeks!

 

ABS-CBN’s royal teleserye “Princess and I,” which stars Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Albert Martinez, and Gretchen Barretto, is now down to its last three weeks.  It will air its last episode on February 1 (Friday). 

As part of the show’s grand celebration for its success and royal countdown to its finale,  the much awaited “Princess and I Royal Fair: Final Game" between Team Gino of Daniel and Team Jao of Enrique will finally happen this Sunday (January 20) at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

Aside from the whole cast, the royal basketball match will be graced by special guests including well known professional basketball players and University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) cagers like Jeric Fortuna of University of Santo Tomas and Jeron Teng of De La Salle University who will play as guest players in the event.

'Sisterakas' Official Movie Poster and Full Trailer Released!

The three queens were combined in one big movie from Star Cinema. Vice Ganda, Ai Ai Delas Alas, and Kris Aquino lead the huge comedy film of the year, "Sisterakas!" This is Star Cinema's second entry to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival along with "One More Try."

The Battle Between Enrique Gil and Daniel Padilla Heats Up in 'Princess and I!'

 ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida royal drama series “Princess and I” will once again host a ‘Royal Fair’ this Sunday (November 18) at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.  

The event’s main highlight will be the game 2 of the basketball match between “Team Jao” led by Enrique Gil and “Team Gino” headed by Daniel Padilla. 

Will Enrique continue his winning streak or will Daniel rule game 2? Gates will be opened for fans at 4pm, while game 2 will start at 7pm.

Poll Result: Daniel Padilla is the Bet Prince for Kathryn Bernardo in 'Princes and I!'

 

Daniel Padilla emerged as the favorite and the bet prince for Kathryn Bernardo in the hit Primetime royal teleserye "Princes and I".  Daniel defeated Kathryn's other two leading men Enrique Gil and Khalil Ramos.  

Based on the online poll survey garnered by this website, Daniel got an overall percentage votes of 63%. Enrique only got 30% putting him on the second spot while Khalil landed on the third place with 6% total votes.

Daniel is playing the character of a bad boy Gino in the teleserye "Princess and I."  His tandem with Kathryn who is playing the role of Princess Micai was well-loved by many as they always portray a cat-dog relationship!

Enrique on the other hand is playing the character of Prince Jao, a royal-blooded Prince from the Kingdom of Yangdon. He is the only son of the wicked Ashi Behati played by Ms. Gretchen Barretto.

Meanwhile "Princess and I" is Khalil's very first acting role on TV. He is playing Mica's bestfriend Kiko. Through thick and thin, he is always there for Micai as her bestfriend.

The tandem of Kathryn and Daniel or popularly known now as KatNiel started last year via the hit ABS-CBN's teen-oriented show "Growing Up." Daniel replaced the former love team of Kathryn who is Albie Casiño after a controversial issue with Andi Eigenmann.

"Princess and I" is actually the second TV project of Kathryn and Daniel. Well, since their love team becomes an instant hit, expect to see them in upcoming movies and other TV series!

Daniel Padilla's "Prinsesa" Official Music Video!

 

 

After the success of his first single "Hinahanap-hanap Kita" which also gave him a Gold record, the Kapamilya young heartthrob and one of "Princess and I" leading men, Daniel Padilla releases another single. This is "Prinsesa" which most of us already familiar with.

"Prinsesa"  is a 1995 hit song popularized by the Pinoy Band named Teeth. In 2007, the group 6CycleMind revived the same song and eventually conquered the music scene!

Now in 2012, a young actor gave his very own rendition of the said song. His version was first played in the royal teleserye "Princess and I" which fitted his love interest Kathryn Bernardo. Afterwards, the song was now heard again in different radio stations after five years.

Inline with this, the official music video of "Prinsesa" starring Daniel Padilla is now released! And here is it:

As you can see in the music video, Daniel is singing inside a maze of hedges looking for someone. The concept is somewhat royal-inspired with the warrior facing all the challenges just to find his princess!

Daniel's album entitled "Hinahanap-hanap Kita" is released by Star Records. It contains six track namely: the carrier single Hinahanap-hanap Kita, Pagsubok, Paniwalaan Mo, Prinsesa, Grow Old With You, and Ako’y Iyo Ika’y Akin Lamang.

Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo's Tandem Celebrates First Year Anniversary!

ABS-CBN's primetime TV princess and prince--Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla--are happy to share their love team's first anniversary with 'KathNiel' fans worldwide.

"Thank you very much for supporting 'Princess and I' every night. We are so grateful to everyone who loves us," said Kathryn and Daniel who both believe that their fans were the ones who made all their accomplishments for the past year possible.

Since they were paired in the hit youth-oriented show "Growing Up" on September 2011, Kathryn and Daniel's love team became a TV sensation that led them to a string of remarkable milestones in their respective showbiz careers including their top-rating primetime royal teleserye, being consistent trending topics in various social networking sites, well-attended mall shows, and their growing number of endorsements.

But prior their sensational success, Kathryn and Daniel confessed that they were both shocked that TV viewers got hooked with their tandem.

"I really thought our love team won't work since we're both moreno. It's so unusual," shared Kathryn. "That's why it somehow became a challenge for us that made us exert effort for the viewers to appreciate our team-up."

Based on the latest data of Kantar Media last Wednesday (August 29) the drama series topbilled by Kathryn, Gretchen Barreto, Albert Martinez, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, and Daniel Padilla garnered 38.2% national TV ratings, or more than 21 points higher than its rival show in GMA "24 Oras" which only got 16.9%.
