Oscars 2012 to Air Live via Satellite on Studio 23
Studio 23 takes you on a front row seat to the Oscars as it exclusively airs the 84th Academy Awards via satellite on free television this Monday, February 27, at 10:30 AM.

Both films compete in the Best Picture category alongside family drama “The Descendants,” the September 11 story “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,” drama set on women of 60s “The Help,” romantic fantasy “Midnight in Paris,” sports tale “Moneyball,” family chronicle “The Tree of Life,” and World War 1 epic “War Horse.”
For the Actor in a Leading Role category, it’s a tight match among Demian Bichir (“A Better Life”), George Clooney (“The Descendants”), Jean Dujardin (“The Artist”), Gary Oldman (“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”), and Brad Pitt (“Moneyball”).
Meanwhile, Meryl Streep padded her record as the most nominated actress in the Oscars, now having a total of 17 nominations, after being nominated in the Actress in a Leading Role category for her portrayal in “The Iron Lady.” Competing with her in the category are Glenn Close (“Albert Nobbs”), Viola Davis (“The Help”), Rooney Mara (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”), and Michelle Williams (“My Week with Marilyn”).
