Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez's approval request to allow their Catholic church wedding was denied by the Vatican.
The couple took the opportunity to visit the Vatican City during their recent European trip.
“Hindi pa kami napagbigyan sa ngayon. Siguro pagbalik. Ako hindi ako susuko. Sana si Mariel huwag din siyang sumuko,” Robin said.
However, on Mariel's part, she seemed to lose hope and decided not to pursue with the wedding.
“Nagbago yung gusto ko eh. So hindi ko na hinahangad na magkaroon ng church wedding. Ngayon ko lang to sinabi. Hindi ko na iyon hinahangad ngayon,” Mariel said in an interview with “SNN.”
“Siguro darating tayo dyan, for now, yun na lang muna,” she added.
